Doctor and Staff Bios
Dr. Bill Davis opened his practice 32 years ago. In that time, he has grown quite accustomed to the anxiety that sometimes accompanies a visit to the dentist. When his daughter Clay Reese joined the practice in 2006, they pooled Dr. Bill’s years of experience with Dr. Clay’s fresh new approaches to innovative oral care, to build a friendly, hometown dental center for the entire family.

Dr. Bill Davis grew up in Columbus, GA, but attended the University of Alabama where he was a placekicker for the 1973 National Championship football team. After graduating from Alabama, he completed his higher education in dentistry at UAB's renowned School of Dentistry, graduating in 1978.
Dr. Davis and his wife Harriet have two children: Taylor, and Dr. Clay Davis Reese with whom he shares his dental practice. Practicing dentistry in Athens for the past 32 years, Dr. Davis and Dr. Clay Reese combined their practices after she graduated form the UAB dental school in 2006.
Dr. Davis is a long-standing member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the Alabama Dental Association (ALDA). Dr. Clay Davis-Reese
Following her Dad’s love for dentistry, Dr. Clay Reese attended the University of Alabama until 2001 when she pursued a career in dentistry at UAB’s acclaimed School of Dentistry, graduating in 2006. Married since 2007 to her husband, Spain Reese, Dr. Reese was excited about going into practice with her Dad here in Athens, where she grew up.
Dr. Reese is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the Alabama Dental Association (ALDA). She too joined the Wilson-Chenault Dental Study Club as means for staying on top of technology and ongoing innovation, an area that is evolving quickly in the dental care industry.
By joining her Dad’s well-established practice, Dr. Reese provided a means for enhancing their cosmetic dentistry capabilities, and expanding their patient base among all age groups including children and young adults. “We like to educate our patients about oral care and tell them about new products and procedures for which they may not be aware,” Dr. Reese says. “We provide aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry services like implants and Clear Correct Invisible Braces, alongside more traditional dentistry services for adults and children like fillings and root canals.”
